Dear Professor,
We are very pleased to invite you to join our first HarMA Seminar Event to be held in the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles (B BRUXEL 07) on April 25-26-27th, 2018 (Three days of Seminar).
Purpose of the Seminar
The goal of the HarMA - Harmony and Music Analysis - Seminar Event is to bring the Theory, Harmony and Music Analysis Professors together to discuss about their Home Institutions' organization and especially to share Educational and Pedagogical Practices experiences in these fields.
There will be three days of sharing experiences about these subjects, as well as introductory conferences, presentations, Training Sessions and rountable discussions. They will be released in a post-event publication.
The Seminar will also include cultural immersion in our famous Capital : visits to various Brussels museums, catered lunches and Coffee Break networking !
The HarMA Project is supported by the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles, the Belgian branch of the European Agency for Education and Formation (AEF), the Belgian Academy for Research and High Education (ARES), the European Association of Conservatories (AEC) and the Belgian Society for Music Analysis (SBAM).
Training Sessions
The main objective of the initiative is to improve the Pedagogic knowledge and skills for your Department, to innovative learning and teaching methods, to share Teaching practices that create a positive learning community and to start developing a positive learning environment.
Training Sessions will be organized :
1. "Schenkerian analysis", Workshop and Training with Pr. Nicolas Meeüs (Paris-Sorbonne)
2. "Intervals, chords, cadences: the origins of the tonal language", Workshop and Training with Prof. Anne-Emmanuelle Ceulemans (UCL, IMEP, MIM),
3. "Introduction to Contemporary Music Analysis",
Workshop and Training with Prof. Jean-Marie Rens (CrL).
Organization of the Seminar
The HarMA Seminar will take place in the capital city of Brussels - Belgium. The Participants will be provided with Erasmus Plus Staff Mobility (STT) certificates and EUROPASS upon completion.

Participants Profile
The Participants should be a Music Theory Professor or similar (Harmony, Music Analsysis, ...), or the Heads of the Music Theory Departments or Delegates able to provide authorized information about their Home Institution in these fields.
Accommodation and Travel
Travel and accommodation in Brussels will be provided by the sending Institution through the Erasmus grant, as well as the travel costs.
Some lunches will be provided by our Institution for the Speakers only. All information about the Brussels accommodation here:

Please, join our HarMA Dinner, the second day (26th April, 20:00 PM (mandatory reservation in the form with extra charge of 20 EUR). A local Menu will be proposed !
Registration
As planning has begun, it is necessary for you to fill in the Participant Form (as Speaker or Audience Participant) which includes all the necessary information about your Institution, the Professor and the organization of the specific courses (Theory and/or Harmony and Music Analysis) offered by your Institution.
